Our Team

We are trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), and a variety of other evidence-based therapeutic approaches.

Kristen McLachlan, LGSW

Hi, I’m Kristen! I’m a trauma-informed counselor and the founder of Reimagine Counseling. I love helping people understand what’s underneath what they’re struggling with, not just finding another way to cope. I use approaches that help uncover the deeper beliefs, stories, experiences, and patterns that may still be shaping how you feel and respond today.

My approach is warm, curious, and down-to-earth. I want therapy to be a place where you don’t have to perform, have all the right words, or keep it all together. You can simply show up as you are, and we’ll figure things out together.

Outside of counseling, I’m originally from South Africa (so yes, the accent comes with me!). I love traveling, a good cup of coffee, and getting completely invested in the latest true-crime documentary.

Carley Malish, LPC, CSAT

Hi, I’m Carley! I’m passionate about helping couples move beyond surface-level behavior changes toward deeper, lasting transformation through curiosity, compassion, and unconditional acceptance.

The approaches I use are ones I have personally experienced in my own marriage and family, giving me a firsthand appreciation for the meaningful change they can create. My own story fuels my passion for helping others heal from generational trauma and build healthier patterns of connection.

I believe we were created for connection, and I consider it a privilege to walk alongside you as you move toward healing, wholeness, and deeper relationships.

Wesley McLachlan, MA

Hi, I’m Wesley! With a background in theology, chaplaincy, and psychology, I’ve spent years walking alongside people through difficult and meaningful seasons of life. I hold master’s degrees in each of these fields and am currently a fourth-year PsyD student.

You won’t find pressure or judgment in our sessions. I want to meet you where you are, hear your story, and create a space where you feel safe to be honest, even when things feel messy or uncertain.

You don’t need to have the right words or know exactly what you need before coming in. We can figure that out together.
